Important Note: This is a development-focused role, not a DevOps or Cloud Engineer position.

The State of Georgia is seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Developer for a hybrid role in Atlanta. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within a dynamic, Agile environment. You'll be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications on the AWS platform, focusing on serverless architectures and robust web services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AWS Development: Build and deploy scalable applications using AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3.
2. Serverless Architecture: Implement serverless solutions with AWS Lambda and Python.
3. Workflow Orchestration: Design and manage workflows using AWS Step Functions and State Machines.
4. Web Services Expertise: Develop and implement SOAP-based web services, including custom header implementation and MTOM attachment handling (e.g., PDF transmission).
5. Agile Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to deliver high-quality software in an Agile setting.
6. Code Quality: Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability through automated testing and code reviews.
7. Troubleshooting: Resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.

Required Skills:

1. Proven experience as a software developer with a strong understanding of cloud computing.
2. Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3).
3. Proficiency in Python.
4. Experience with SOAP web services, XML, XSD, and WSDL.
5. Experience with MTOM attachments.
6. Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

1. AWS certifications.
2. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
3. Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
