N4 Solutions, LLC is seeking a Platform Management Lead to support The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Consolidation Applications and Platforms (NCAPS) team. Through support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provides technical expertise in the infrastructure design, installation, implementation, operation, maintenance and security of Microsoft Windows and RedHat Linux servers
- Supports Microsoft and Linux systems physical and virtual builds
- Resolves application and system software problems
- Evaluates and recommends hardware/software enhancements as needed including management of system updates and patches
- Troubleshooting configuration and integration issues in development, test and production environments
- Creating a wide variety of scripts
- Monitoring and optimizing system performance
- Configuring security on supported platforms, researching security issues / warning notifications for applicability and implementing patches and fixes
- Ensuring backup procedures are in place and executed on a timely basis
- Interfacing with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance
- Performing scheduled and allocated work, providing guidance on modernization initiatives, and resolving problems to meet technical performance and financial objectives
- Work as part of a team that creates VMware environments in a fast-paced Agile software solution factory
- Maintain existing systems by analyzing, designing, and implementing changes to the system baselines so that baseline changes meet customer requirements. You will also work with upcoming technology refresh projects
- Contribute to operational and system support documentation in accordance with the program’s configuration management procedures, regularly notifying the team lead when problems or issues arise that are outside the normal scope of work are other activities you will get to support.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of recent specialized experience
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
- CompTIA Security (IAT Level II or greater)
- ITIL v4 - Foundation
- Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch files
- Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
- Experience with ITIL frameworks
- U.S. Citizenship
