This position is part of a team that supports the USINDOPACOM Alpha contract. The Strategic Operations Planner will be responsible for providing planning services to enhance readiness, inform decision makers, test capabilities, and improve coordination among USINDOPACOM and its mission partners in support of United States India-Pacific Command’s core responsibility as one of six geographic Unified Combatant Commands of the U.S. Armed Forces. USINDOPACOM is supported by six component commands: U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. Pacific Air Forces, U.S. Army Pacific, U.S. Space Forces Indo-Pacific, U.S. Space Force-INDOPACOM and U.S. Marine Forces, Pacific. USINDOPACOM’s mission is to protect, defend, in concert with other U.S. Government agencies, the territory of the U.S., its people, and its interests.
Responsibilities

- Provide a full range of Joint Operational Planning services.
- Develop concepts of operations (CONOPS) that support operations execution.
- Assist staff planners in the development of strategic and operational communication concepts for new Operational Plans (OPLANS) and Contingency Plans (CONPLANS) and possible branch plans to existing OPANS/CONPLANS.
- Review policy and strategy and develop courses of action that support operations execution.
- Develop necessary planning, policy, procedures, and roadmap documentation.
- Conducting After Action Reviews (AARs), develop information papers, and document lessons learned.
Qualifications
Qualification/Skills: The Strategic Operations Planner will provide technical analysis and direction to staff personnel in the development, revision, and review of CONOPS, OPLANS and CONPLANS.
Education and Experience: This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. The following are desirable levels of experience:
- 3 years of relevant experience in planning and executing Joint Operations at the Combatant Command level.
- 3 years of experience on a combatant command staff
- Ability to effectively and efficiently operate in joint and interagency environments while maintaining communication with leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Recent experience supporting USINDOPACOM highly preferred
Work Location: Work is performed in Honolulu, HI
Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000.00 to $180,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
