Skills / Experience Required

Computer Support Specialist IV Skills/Experience needed:

• Currently hold a Secret Clearance
• 10 years of technical support experience, specializing in NIPRNET and SIPRNET environments, with a focus on supporting command staff and mission-critical units.
• 6 years of Army Enterprise Service Desk experience, including submitting and managing work orders, tracking ticket status, analyzing trends, and implementing long-term solutions.
• Provide Helpdesk support, logging and managing tickets in Remedy/ITSM, ensuring prompt issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, both remotely and onsite.
• Deploy and maintain Army Golden Master-approved software and office automation systems.
• Manage user accounts, password resets, IAVA remediation, and desktop security compliance.
• Install, configure, and repair desktops, laptops, handheld devices, printers, and CAC Smart Card readers.
• Support and troubleshoot Windows OS (Vista & 10), Microsoft Office (especially Outlook), NCES products, Jabber, Wi-Fi, and VPNs.
• Collaborate with Tier II/III administrators to resolve complex network and system issues.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support, including holidays, with a two-hour response requirement.
• Assist with collaborative tools support (Google Earth, DCO Connect Online, Jabber, Portals, alert systems) for briefings and events.

Education / Certifications

• IT I & IAT II certifications as specified in DoD 8570.01-M and BBP 05-PR-M-0002
• MS Desktop Support Technician or equivalent certification preferred
• At least a high school diploma/GED

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
