Job Description
Bass Commercial Concrete specializes in commercial and industrial projects throughout the state of Arkansas and surrounding states. Bass Commercial Concrete completes projects that consist of site concrete, heavy industrial foundations, tilt panel construction, specialty slab placements, and structural concrete framed structures. The Project Coordinator takes a leadership role in the organization and implementation of projects from start to finish.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
1. Project Coordination:
- Assist in planning and scheduling construction activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and goals.
- Serve as a point of contact for subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor project workflows to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks or conflicts.
2. Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare, maintain, and organize project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Track project deliverables and milestones, providing regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Generate progress reports, cost analyses, and other relevant documentation for review by senior staff.
3. Procurement and Resource Management:
- Assist in coordinating the procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and address shortages or delays.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to confirm order details and resolve discrepancies.
4. Budget Tracking and Cost Control:
- Support the project manager in monitoring labor budgets and costs, identifying variances, and proposing corrective actions.
- Verify and process invoices from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project agreements.
5. Site Visits and Construction Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Interpret and maintain construction document control in print and digitally for the field. Assist in drawing coordination and interpretation to ensure correct construction dimensions and quality.
6. Administrative Support:
- Maintain and update project schedules, RFI’s and drawings using tools like Microsoft Project, Fieldwire, or Procore.
- Provide general administrative support to the project & field management team.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Equivalent field construction experience in similar role will be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Early morning or late night working hours are sometimes required. Including weekends on occasion or as needed per project schedule.
- Exposure to construction site conditions, including outdoor environments and variable weather.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
