Yahoo Finance is looking for a highly motivated Personal Finance Producer to join the team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, pitching, and securing interviews with high-profile guests, c-suite executives, market strategists, and newsmakers to join our vast array of programming, including live market shows, podcasts, 30-minute feature shows, live events, and much more.

A Little About the Role :

Leadership & Management : Oversee a creative team of producers, editors, and onscreen talent to develop compelling personal finance video content. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
Content Strategy : Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with our mission and engages our target audience. Ensure content is optimized for various platforms, including digital, social media, and podcasts.
Production Oversight : Supervise all phases of video production, from conceptualization and scripting to filming and postproduction. Ensure the highest quality standards are met and that content is delivered on time and within budget.
Editorial Excellence : Maintain the highest standards of editorial integrity and accuracy. Oversee script development and ensure all content is informative, engaging, and aligned with our educational objectives.
Audience Engagement : Use analytics and audience feedback to inform content decisions and implement strategies to increase viewer engagement and expand our audience base.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with marketing, data, and sales teams to ensure content supports broader organizational goals. Collaborate with other departments to promote content and drive audience growth.
Oversee video content production focused on personal finance, from concept development to final execution.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising on quality.
Work with the design and animation teams to integrate compelling visuals that enhance narrative flow and audience engagement.
Stay current with trends in financial media, streaming platforms, and digital media to bring fresh, outside-the-box ideas to content creation.

Other Details :

Compensation : $500 / day

Location : In-Office, New York City

Job Requirements

A Little About You :

7 years of producing experience within a major financial news organization, ideally with a strong background in streaming or digital media.

Strong understanding of the personal finance industry.

Ability to break complicated topics down on a personal finance level, building ultimate guide, explainer, and personal finance news videos.

Expertise in storytelling, impeccable editorial judgment, and a keen eye for detail.

Deep knowledge of creating content tailored for different digital platforms, ensuring maximum impact and audience engagement.

Vigorous use of imagery, graphics, and animations to tell a compelling story.

Extensive experience shooting and editing videos, with advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere.

Exceptional time management skills, balancing multiple priorities and projects effectively, and meeting tight deadlines.

Innovative thinker who can push creative boundaries and bring fresh perspectives to the content production process.

Strong understanding of financial content and the ability to distill complex financial concepts into accessible, engaging formats.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in New York City.

The ability to work well under the pressures of deadlines and a live show environment.

Strong writing skills and editorial judgment.

A genuine passion for current events, markets, and personal finance.

Proven track record.
