We are seeking a Plant Facility Manager with a strong background in chemical processing and new-build construction to oversee and drive the operations of our growing facility. This is a ground-up leadership role where you will play a critical part in shaping the operational, safety, and business strategies of the plant.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- College degree or relevant work experience equivalence required.
- 7-10 years of related experience.
- Proven experience in chemical plant operations, including process safety and facility management.
- Hands-on experience with new-build construction in a chemical processing environment.
- A strong leader who can challenge conventional approaches and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a startup mindset.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to envision opportunities for exponential growth, while also being willing to execute the smaller, incremental transactions necessary to realize that long-term vision.
- Talent-focused, with the ability to identify the skill sets required to achieve the vision and take action to build the right team – whether through hiring, upgrading, or replacing talent.
- Safety leadership, supporting the existing safety professional on-site while actively driving a shift in safety culture.
- Strong chemical plant and business acumen, with a solid understanding of both operational and financial aspects – including the ability to manage projects and budget effectively.
- Strong leadership presence, with the ability to influence and guide a team that has historically operated with limited structure, but now requires clear direction, accountability, and alignment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all plant operations with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and scalability.
- Establish and promote a culture of process safety to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide strategic leadership for a small team of 5, with an expectation of rapid growth.
- Oversee new-build construction while ensuring alignment with chemical processing best practices.
- Implement and improve safety protocols, challenging the status quo to optimize processes.
- Utilize business acumen to drive cost-effective decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Make critical decisions on design, process implementation, and risk management.
- Foster innovation and efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance.
