Summary
Design Professional – Non-licensed design and planning professional having completed 0-3 years of higher ed and campus planning related experience. Undertakes a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard architectural techniques for small projects or selected segments of a larger project. This individual will have excellent inter-personal skills and be a strong problem solver who thinks strategically and creatively. Adept at data and information management and strong writing skills are preferred. The ideal individual will have a desire to focus on planning / predesign work with some flexibility to support other project design efforts as needed.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assists in preparation of information and drawings for analyses and reports.
- Assists in developing design sketches, renderings, models and graphics for presentation materials, including possible hand sketching.
- Provides design and research support to project team members, which may include computer modeling and renderings.
- Compiles data, performs elementary computations related to campus planning analysis.
- Adheres to firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability.
- Assists in preparation of final design documents including guidelines, reports, comprehensive planning documents and final presentation materials.
- Organizes and plans accordingly to execute tasks.
- Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions and legibility.
