Position : Design Professional I
Reports To : Project Manager / Lead
Summary
Design Professional I Non-licensed architecture staff having completed a minimum of 3 years of architecture related experience. Fully competent in all conventional aspects of architecture. Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity. Prepares project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data.
Requirements :
Essential Functions :
- Participates in the production of finished plans, specifications and approval of materials and construction on small to moderate sized projects
- Assist in coordination of the planning and development of construction and design document production; provide technical support to ensure coordinated and high-quality documents
- Perform analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies, and limited design layouts
- Participates in the creation and review projects reports, estimates, calculations, specifications, and compile / analyze relevant data
- Perform construction administration duties, such as site visits, RFI responses, submittals, and punch list reviews
- Participate in project coordination meetings
- Provide guidance for less experienced project associates and interns
- Involve explorations of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methods
- Contribute innovative design ideas that consistently capture the intended design vision
- Contribute to bold design solutions that balance scale, aesthetics, and context to maximize the impact to the individual and community
