The Nurse Paralegal will assist attorney(s) by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; interviewing clients, medical experts, and witnesses; research, investigations, and fact-checking; and trial preparation. The Nurse Paralegal will be primarily responsible for assisting with health and medical-related legal matters.

The Nurse Paralegal will be primarily responsible for assisting with health and medical-related legal matters.
Responsibilities Of Our Nurse Paralegal
- Abstract medical records, organize and prepare both outline and narrative summaries of medical records.
- Interviews clients and medical experts and prepares summaries of their statements.
- Prepares, organizes, documents, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
- Assemble chronologies of pertinent facts and key documents
- Review, analyze and organize document productions.
- Acts as the liaison for clients, medical experts, and legal counsel.
- Assists attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.
- Determine, prepare and organize materials as needed.
- Conduct medical research regarding case subject areas, including but not limited to medical conditions, standards of care applicable to treatment, professional guidelines, and practice regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- RN License in good standing, Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and 3 Years reviewing medical records and working closely with legal counsel. Legal Nurse Consultant (LNC) Certification is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
- Organized team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient understanding and utilization of medical terminology, anatomy, laboratory testing, and medications required.
- Experience charting clinical nursing care in electronic medical records is required, experience using Needles/Litify, is preferred.
