JOB TITLE: Accountant
EMPLOYER: Nackard Pepsi, Flagstaff, AZ
DEPARTMENT: Accounting
REPORTS TO: Eric Cuebas, Controller
EFFECTIVE DATE: 4/1/25
POSITION: Full-Time, Salary, starting range: $50,000-60,000/yr (experienced based)
SCHEDULE:
- Monday-Friday, 8-5pm, on-site, hour lunch break
SUMMARY: Computes and prepares data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; performs day-to-day general accounting functions
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares general ledger journal entries, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
- Generates and files monthly financial reports
- Assists in developing, analyzing, and preparing periodic financial statements for timely distribution to management
- Assist in auditing cash vault
- Assists with budget preparation
- Prepares and analyzes monthly journal entries
- Performs weekly cash exchange at local bank
- Assists with annual external audits
- Analyzes and reconciles general ledger accounts
- Prepares account analyses and reconciliation
- Process payroll for employees
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 0-2 years related experience in an accounting function
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
- Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
