POSITION : Full-Time, On-site, Hourly, Starting $21-$25
SUMMARY :
This full-time position is responsible for coordinating field activities and service staff by delivering assignments, instructions, and alerts via the organization's communications network.
SCHEDULE :
- Monday-Friday, 7 : 30am-4pm (30 min lunch).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Receives emergency and non-emergency calls and records significant information.Receives and dispatches service calls.Prioritizes calls according to urgency and importance.Answers incoming calls and communications.Coordinates response and delivery of received information to field staff.Dispatches and deploys staff, vehicles, and / or units based on communications received.Adeptly uses multi-line telephone system, mobile phones, and other communications methods and networks.Maintains calm communication with and provides instruction (such as service guidance) to incoming callers.Addresses problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.Enters data in computer system and maintains logs and records of calls, activities and other information.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience not necessary, but preferred.Computer skills : Accounting Software (QuickBooks); Database Software (ADP); Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Inventory Software; Project Management Software; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook)Other skills required :Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position.
At least one year of related experience preferred but not required.Knowledge of procedures and guideline for emergency situations.Excellent verbal communication skills.Ability to execute directions accurately and with speed.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.Ability to operate or to quickly learn a variety of communications systems.COMPETENCIES :
