Description
The Administrative Support Specialist provides essential clerical and administrative support to the Case Management Department. This role ensures smooth daily operations through accurate documentation, timely communication, and collaboration with healthcare providers, patients, and families. The position supports case managers and department leadership with data tracking, regulatory tasks, and compliance with internal and external policies.
Primary Responsibilities

Perform general clerical duties including answering phones, scheduling meetings, and managing correspondence.

Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and departmental documentation.

Assist case managers with data entry, reporting, and tracking of key metrics.

Coordinate communication between healthcare providers, patients, and family members as needed.

Prepare and distribute discharge planning documents, referrals, and follow-up communications.

Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards and hospital policies.

Support the department with special projects, audits, and regulatory reporting as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the hospital’s mission and vision.
