Equipment Operator II - Streets

Operates a variety of heavy motorized equipment, such as bulldozers, motor graders, and dump trucks, to perform essential street and alley maintenance tasks while prioritizing safety and efficiency. Engages in a range of activities that encompass the maintenance, repair, and construction of roadways, drainage systems, and alleyways. This includes conducting routine inspections of equipment, preparing work sites, and collaborating with team members to effectively address issues related to pavement deterioration, drainage obstructions, and surface leveling.

• Operates heavy motorized equipment, including large tractors, backhoes, loaders, dozers, rollers, motor graders, dump trucks, and similar types of equipment used in maintenance and construction work.
• Assists in resurfacing, oiling, and patching roads and streets.
• Uses equipment attachments and auxiliary mechanical equipment as necessary.
• Loads and unloads heavy materials such as stone, gravel, dirt, asphalt, timber, and other materials.
• Performs preventative maintenance on tools and equipment such as cleaning lubrication and other ordinary servicing.
  
  

High School Diploma/GED And Heavy Equipment Operations Experience Preferred.
