Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
- Assist with the coordination of ultrasound appointments and other diagnostic services.
- Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff regarding treatment plans and medication administration.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Support OBGYN-specific procedures by preparing necessary documentation and assisting during patient visits.
- Utilize medical coding systems to accurately document services rendered.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical administrative support role is preferred.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.
- Knowledge of OBGYN practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with outpatient care processes and medical-surgical terminology.
- Understanding of physiology knowledge relevant to patient care.
- Proficient in using healthcare systems for scheduling, record keeping, and coding.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
