What You’ll Do : NADBank is seeking
an Associate Director of Investment Origination
responsible f
or driving the origination of new loans in within key sectors aligned with NADBank’s mandate. This includes but not limited to, water, green manufacturing, green products, sustainable food chain, sustainable buildings, industrial parks, energy efficiency, and renewable energy, including energy storage. Additionally, the individual will proactively identify and engage potential new clients, developing a strong portfolio of leads that will result in disbursed loans for NADBank.
The Associate Director will ensure the credit readiness of projects in their initial stages of development and assess their financial viability. This involves coordinating comprehensive reviews of the financial models for credit risk assessments and the processing of loan projects. The ideal candidate will be able to determine whether a project meets the necessary criteria for financing or work with clients to move the projects forward to a bankable development stage.
What You Bring to the table :
- Project Sourcing & Structuring : Identify, source, and structure projects in water, green manufacturing, green products, sustainable food chain, sustainable buildings, industrial parks, energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy storage.
- Pipeline Development : Cultivate a strong pipeline of potential investments in key sectors.
- Portfolio Monitoring : Continuously monitor potential investments to ensure alignment in the bank’s portfolio requirements and strategic objectives.
- Client Relationship Management : Foster and maintain client relationships and insight into sector developments to identify new lending opportunities.
- Initial Project Assessment : Conduct initial analyses of assigned projects to determine eligibility and further assessment.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Builds and maintain relationships with developers, consultants, advisors, and financial institutions within relevant sectors.
- Deal Presentation : Prepare summary deal sheets and presentations of assigned projects to effectively present to internal committees.
- Financial Model Validation : Coordinate the reviews and validate the soundness of sponsor-prepared financial models to validate their soundness and risk assessment.
- I nternal Financial Preparation : Prepare and oversee the development of internal financial models, evaluating key metrics for project approvals.
- Negotiation : Lead initial negotiations of terms and conditions with project sponsors and legal advisors, especially in the early stages.
- Representation : Represent the Bank with stakeholders, potential clients, business groups, and regulating bodies; travel as needed for client meetings, conferences and other events.
- Due Diligence
Assist in supervising consultants engaged in the due diligence process for assigned projects.
