Gallery Operations Manager

A rapidly growing local family owned and operated auction gallery is looking to add a full-time Operations Gallery Manager. We are seeking to add a great team member looking for room to grow with our fast growing company.

Nadeau's Auction Gallery, Inc. has been in operation for thirty-eight (38) years with the owner and auctioneer being Edwin J. Nadeau, Jr. and now in partnership with, Edwin J. Nadeau III. For the past fifty (50) years, Edwin Nadeau, Jr. has been in the antique and auction business and now operate one of southern New England's largest auction galleries.

Full-Time Responsibilities:

• Assisting Operations Director with supervisory duties.
• Oversee 3-8 employees at any given time.
• Overseeing that tasks are done in a timely manner, while keeping a good pace and attitude.
• Moving furniture in and out of houses while maintaining safe property handling.
• Inventory and stock control.
• Properly loading and unloading trucks with substantial lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying of property required.
• Delivering merchandise and functioning as a helper on the truck or van.

Aiding in setting up auctions including:

• Placing property for display, including but not limited to onto shelves or platforms, hanging or mounting property onto walls, and assembling property.
• Stand exhibition and assist clients in viewing property (removal from wall or case, move furniture etc...)
• Maintain cleanliness and appropriate presentation of exhibition and back of house spaces and equipment.
• Perform other tasks consistent with these responsibilities as required.

Weekly Schedule:

Our schedule is based on auction gallery hours:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Fridays 08:00 a.m. - 04:00 p.m.
Thursdays 08:00 a.m. - 06:30 p.m.

In addition to the weekly schedule, auctions are held every three weeks on Saturdays as well as January 1st which you are required to be present.

Requirements:

• A clean driving record and valid driver's license is a must.
• Box truck driving experience or CDL a plus.
• Warehouse control and inventory experience.
• Must be motivated and hardworking; a team player that is flexible to changes working closely with art handlers and operations staff.
• Display a positive attitue and adhere to Nadeau's Service Standards.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Must have consistent solid and long term employment history (no job hopping)
• Must move fast and be able to work in a high-paced environment.
• Must be well-groomed and in the proper uniform which must be worn and pressed at all times.
• Must be professional and respectful with clients and customers.
• Must have some professional moving experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
