Job Overview
The Art Director position is a melding of engaging visual design and intuitive design development skills to meet the demands of visual components directly involved with sales account executive client proposals and specs. The Art Director will respond to a multitude of requests for virtual demonstrations of end-user promotional advertising items and/or visual products that assist the account executive in closing sales opportunities.
The ideal candidate will possess superior Adobe illustrator & Photoshop skills, is comfortable with a fast-paced environment, and is a skilled communicator. They must be a critical thinker and effective troubleshooter, have a keen eye for detail, and feel confident and comfortable multitasking.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong visual design skills.
- Take direction from Account Managers and the Creative Director.
- Produce graphic design elements and page layouts.
- Determine the size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy.
- Follow the lead of the Creative Director to build virtual samples, set up mechanical files for product-specific projects, typesetting, prepare presentations, and all graphic-related print mediums.
- Design to meet licensor requirements (style guides).
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines.
- 3 years of experience in design work.
- A strong visual design background.
- A broad understanding of design and usability technology.
- Competent knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
- Excellent information design (must have the ability to conceptualize and articulate solutions).
- Mastery of Mac-based design programs, Adobe Illustrator (Expert level) and Photoshop--CS3 fluency is critical.
- BFA or equivalent education is preferred, but not required.
- Flexible and able to handle multiple project changes in one day.
- A team player who is willing to accept a full range of related responsibilities and roles.
- Excellent communication, including professional and courteous telephone manner and people skills.
- A clean, organized design sense.
- Computer literate, including Outlook, Word, PPT and Excel.
- Strong response and follow-through skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity.
- Promotional Products industry experience preferred.

Salary : $60,000 - $85,000
