Job Summary: The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating embroidery machines to create intricate and high-quality designs on various textiles. Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate embroidery machines, including multi-needle and single-needle machines.
- Load and thread embroidery machines with appropriate threads and materials.
- Adjust machine settings, such as stitch density and tension, according to design requirements.
- Ensure that garment number, size, and color match manufacturing work order (MO).
- Read and interpret embroidery design files, patterns, and production orders.
- Prepare and hoop fabric or other materials for embroidery.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure accurate and high-quality embroidery.
- Inspect finished embroidered products for quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Identify and resolve issues such as thread breaks, misalignment, or design errors.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance to prevent defects and ensure smooth operation.
- Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of embroidery machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on embroidery machines as needed.
- Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Organize and manage materials and supplies to minimize downtime and waste.
- Collaborate with other operators and team members to coordinate production schedules and resolve any issues.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and address any concerns.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an embroidery machine operator or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating various types of embroidery machines and understanding of embroidery techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret design files and production orders.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in executing embroidery designs.
- Good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic machine maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and handle materials weighing up to [weight] pounds.
