We are exploring candidates for a highly skilled and relational Therapist to join our amazing team of professionals!
Clinical Therapist will facilitate therapeutic services and clinical oversight. Each program provides treatment for adolescent males ages 13 to 20 with developmental disabilities and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. The home and its staff provide 24-hour supervision, clinical services, and unconditional support in an environment that allows for individualized treatment and subsequent planning. Successful individuals will provide clinical leadership and direction to achieve the clients therapeutic and permanency goals. The Therapist is responsible for therapy and / or case management of assigned cases and for serving as the primary contact for family members and others who are involved with clients. The Therapist is responsible for providing trauma informed clinical services to clients and their families through individual, group, and family therapy, both at the program and in the community, as dictated by program and / or treatment models.
Primary responsibilities include :
- Assesses a client's risk level and develops / implements a safety plan for each client
- Provides individual, group, and family therapy to families both at the program and in the community, as dictated by program and / or treatment models or seven clients
- Provides clinical consultation to program staff and other treatment team members
- Conducts the intake process, including processing all necessary paperwork
- Maintains regular contact with outside collaterals and families
- Writes comprehensive assessments, initial and quarterly treatment plans, progress notes, specific evidence-based paperwork, as required, and discharge summaries, in a timely fashion
- Attends conferences, planning meetings, and / or other relevant clinical meetings, as assigned
- Facilitates and coordinates clinical trainings in conjunction with management
- Prepares and maintains clinical documentation for each client, in accordance with agency and funding / licensing agency requirements
- Participates in the program's on-call system, utilizing professional judgement to assist client(s) and families
- Behaves professionally, ethically, and collaboratively at all times with all clients, agency staff, staff of other service programs, and community members
- Demonstrates the ability to perform oral and / or physical interventions in the event of a client crisis, per program / contract requirements
- Completes other related duties as assigned
- Performs all duties in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures
