What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician & Relief position at NAFI Connecticut / Rhode Island / New York?
NAFI CT is a multi-service agency that provides programming, consultation and individualized support services to youth, families and adults in a variety of settings. Foster Care, developmental services and treatment for individuals with developmental needs, residential treatment, in-home services and consultation are the broad scope divisions which make up NAFI CT.
NAFI CT is currently seeking a Youth Counselors/Behavior Technician to work in our group homes in Prospect and New Britain. The group homes provide treatment for adolescent males ages 13 to 20 with developmental disabilities and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. The home and its staff provide 24-hour supervision, clinical services, and unconditional support in an environment that allows for individualized treatment and subsequent planning.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Available to work flexible hours
- High school Diploma Required
- Driver's License Required
- 1 year or more of healthcare, child welfare, human service and/or social service experience
- Weekend shifts
- CNA/PCA encouraged to apply
- Medication certified required (NAFI CT will assist with obtaining certificate)

Full Time:
40-hour 2nd Shift Behavior Tech Wednesday-Saturday
30-hour 2nd Shift Behavior Tech Thursday-Saturday
Hourly wage: $18.50 per hour to start
Increased to $19.00 upon completion of Medication Administration Certification
Per diem/ Relief staff positions available
