NAFI Connecticut Inc. is a multi-service agency offering a wide range of residential, programming consultation, and personalized support to youth, families, and adults across Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island. With unique services designed for each state, we provide trauma-informed care and community-based youth programs in Connecticut, comprehensive family support and residential services for at-risk youth in New York, and targeted mental health services and crisis intervention in Rhode Island and so much more. NAFI Rhode Island is exploring candidates for Youth Counselor - Overnight Awake shift for our main Street's semi-independent living program serves emerging young adults, ages 16-21 who are struggling with transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. Our goal is to provide all youth the skills and logistical support that will permit them to become self-supporting in the community.

Responsibilities Include:

• Dedicated, compassionate and qualified person with excellent verbal and written communications, solid professional boundaries and the ability to work independently.
• A positive role model, but one who can motivate our clients to reach their full potential.
• Conducting routine bed checks.
• Supervise and maintaining the safety of the clients.
• Supporting youth in developing daily living skills that focus mostly on bedtime and morning routines.
• Communicate any issues and concerns and complete routine paperwork.
• Attend staff meetings and scheduled trainings.
• Maintain a safe and clean inviting environment by completing overnight check list.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• All candidates must successfully clear DCYF, Driving Record and RI State background checks.
• Most possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to transport clients as needed.

Hourly Rate: $22.50 / per hour
