NAFI Connecticut | Rhode Island | New York is a dynamic multi-service agency at the forefront of youth and family support across Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York. NAFI RI is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic leader to provide administrative and clinical oversight of our foster care program as Director of Foster Care. NAFI is the lead agency of a 3 agency foster care collaboration. Successful candidates will provide visionary leadership, overall quality assurance and clinical insight to achieve the vision and goals for the collaboration to maximize the program’s impact on youth and families.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide direct support and supervision to managerial staff in program operations, including clinical treatment models, recruitment, foster parent licensing and training, and administrative functions
- Lead, motivate, and promote professional development of staff and leadership teams
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures
- Assist with budget development, fiscal oversight, and resource allocation
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with referral sources and community resources to support program goals
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of and experience with DCYF and Foster Care systems
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial/leadership role
- Ability to demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Master’s Degree required, license eligible
- Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, plan and coordinate operations within a clinical setting
- Leadership skills, including mediation, problem solving, decision making, delegation
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, staff, community groups and individuals, and other related agencies
- Effectively manage competing demands in high level environments
- Knowledge and respect of the diverse culture and life-style
