What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Counselor position at NAFI?
North American Family Institute (NAFI), a national non-profit human services agency, is seeking full-time and part-time Youth Counselors to join our team at the Welcome and Respite Support Center in Bartow, Florida. The Center serves as a short-term overnight and/or an hourly placement for male and female children and adolescents involved in the Child Welfare system. The Center provides services to at least 12 youth per day and operating 24-hours, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Work hours are 3:00 pm until 11: pm or 11 pm until 7 am Tuesday through Saturday, OR Sunday through Thursday.
Applicants must have experience working with pre-adolescent youth in a residential, foster care, or an educational setting. They must also pass background screenings. Proof of highest level of education, a valid driver’s license and driving record is required, as well as proof of personal vehicle insurance. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Reliable transportation is required. Applicants with a high energy level, superior interpersonal skills and the ability to function as a team player are encouraged to apply.
