Director of Student Services, Summit Educational Service Center
Reports To: Superintendent
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Posting start date: April 17, 2025
Posting end date: May 9, 2025
Overview
Summit ESC seeks an experienced educational leader to oversee special education and student support services for the ESC and its client districts. The Director will provide strategic leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster high-quality service delivery across programs. Summit ESC is an equal opportunity employer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and enhance special education and student service programs.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provides leadership and support in service delivery, referrals, evaluations, and program implementation.
- Supervise student services staff, including therapists, specialists, and program leads.
- Oversee budgets, state reporting, and department operations.
- Initiate and collaborate with internal departments and districts on professional development, including workshops and in-services.
- Work with the Assistant Superintendent in strategic planning, grant initiatives, and assigned meetings with school districts and social agencies
- Assist with preschool-related duties and strategic initiatives as assigned.
- Support and supervise specialized programs, including Kids First/TOPS for students with autism.
- All other duties as assigned by the superintendent
- Master's degree in Education, School Psychology, Speech Language Pathology, or related field.
- Valid ODE administrative license.
- Experience in school-based administration.
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws.
- Other qualifications as approved by the Board/Superintendent.
