Job Summary
The Lower School Student Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing key student support operations, to include morning drop-off (and child care) and afternoon dismissal, supervision of lower school testing center, organization of childcare services for staff parents, and work on special projects and events for the Lower School Division Head.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise early morning drop-off (7:00-7:30)
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for students who are dropped off prior to 7:30.
- Communicate policies regarding the early arrival program.
- Keep accurate records of early arrival attendance and communicate with the business office.
- Supervise Morning and Afternoon Carpool
- Oversee student arrival and departure procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Schedule and manage staff assisting with drop-off and pick up.
- Maintain data and use of the school dismissal management system.
- Lower School Testing Center Management (8:00 AM-2:30 PM)
- Oversee daily operations of the testing center, ensuring a quiet, structured environment.
- Coordinate student accommodations, scheduling, and materials for assessments.
- Maintain communication with teachers and support staff regarding testing needs.
- Ensure compliance with school testing procedures.
- Manage LS standardized assessment implementation
- Faculty Childcare Coordination
- Plan and staff childcare services for faculty children as needed.
- Maintain communication with faculty regarding childcare availability and logistics.
- Ensure a safe, engaging, and structured environment.
- Special Projects and Events
- Experience working in an elementary school and pre-school setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to supervise young children and enforce school policies effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing needs throughout the day.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to work as an integral part of a team.
- 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Additional hours may be required for special events or in certain circumstances.
