Summary Of Position
St. Michael’s Prep is seeking a qualified and passionate educator to serve as our new Student Services Testing Proctor for the remainder of the 2024-2025 academic year. This role requires a collaborative teacher who will work across grade levels to support student success. This is a full-time, 10-month faculty position, beginning in January 2025.

Ideal candidates thrive in a collaborative environment designing and delivering innovative and creative cross-curricular instructional units to students with diverse learning styles and needs.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge and understanding of the developmental stages and needs of students of elementary and middle school aged children
- Work with students who are having academic difficulty and/or students returning to school after an extended absence
- Proctor testing for all LS and MS students with accommodations including extended testing time for standardized testing as well as providing supervision of small groups in our Learning Lab
- Experience in, or willing to develop expertise in, social emotional learning (Responsive Classroom) and project based learning
- Teach in a responsive and inclusive manner
- Create a welcoming and inviting classroom environment that fosters a feeling of significance, belonging, and fun for all students
- Work and plan collaboratively with the student services team
- Perform assigned duties such as carpool, lunch, and recess duties
- Cover academic and non-academic classes (e.g., study hall, homeroom) as needed
- Demonstrate effective classroom management
- Maintain effective and timely communication with colleagues and administrators
- Participate in professional development opportunities to learn and utilize innovative tools and techniques that improve student learning

- Possess a growth mindset
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with students, department chairs, faculty, staff and parents
- A positive attitude and the willingness to approach learning new skills in flexible and creative ways
- A bachelor’s degree required
