On a Day-to-day, You Will
- Develop and implement a proactive regulatory strategy aligned with FCC, ADA, CVAA, HIPAA, SOC-2, and other telecommunications and accessibility regulations.
- Lead regulatory submissions and approvals, ensuring Nagish meets all federal and state requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the government, FCC, state regulators, and advocacy organizations, managing communications and compliance reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed compliance into product development.
- Monitor and interpret changes in regulations, advising the company on necessary adjustments.
- Manage regulatory risks, audits, and inspections, ensuring timely and effective responses.
- Act as the general counsel for the company on day-to-day compliance and regulation matters.
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5 years of experience in telecommunications law, regulatory compliance, accessibility, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of FCC, ADA, CVAA, and telecommunications accessibility regulations.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience engaging with FCC, advocacy groups, government agencies, and industry coalitions.
- Passion for improving accessibility and communication for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Experience drafting and negotiating contracts, policies, and regulatory filings.
