Job Title: Designer Department: Creative Services
Reports To: Executive Creative Director FLSA Status: Exempt
Shift: Hybrid – Minnetonka, MN Office Wage Range: $70,000-$90,000
1 Day in office required

Job Summary: As a Designer, you will be responsible for the design and execution of direct mail pieces that drive measurable results and align with client objectives. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Creative Director, Art Director, Account Team, Copywriters, and Production Teams to ensure creative concepts are successfully developed and executed. This role requires a strong eye for design, a deep understanding of marketing strategies, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute creative concepts for direct mail campaigns, ensuring a consistent, engaging, and brand-aligned visual message.
- Collaborate with the Executive Creative Director, Art Director, Account Team, Copywriters and Production Teams to bring concepts to life while meeting deadlines and maintaining high design standards.
- Work within client brand guidelines while also exploring creative opportunities to push boundaries and deliver fresh, innovative ideas.
- Develop and present design concepts, create mockups and presentations to pitch ideas to clients.
- Ensure all designs are optimized for print production, adhering to technical and postal requirements while troubleshooting potential challenges.
- Support the Marketing team with graphic design needs for internal materials such as event posters, employee newsletters, and company handbooks.
- Stay informed on design, print production, and marketing trends to bring new ideas and strategies to the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of digital and conventional print processes
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work, including a willingness to ask questions and problem-solve when necessary
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong prioritization and multitasking skills, able to operate independently in an entrepreneurial setting.
- Adaptable and flexible in ambiguous work environments, responsive to business priorities.
- Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree, or equivalent, in graphic design, production design, or prepress is preferred.
- 5-7 years of agency production and design experience.

This job operates in a hybrid office environment with exposure to a Manufacturing environment on occasion. While performing the duties of this job inside and outside the manufacturing facility/office setting, the employee is frequently exposed to normal to moderate working conditions for a hybrid office and manufacturing facility with a noise level that is usually quiet - moderate with minimal to some interruptions. The role routinely uses office equipment, software and hardware.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, type, write and be exposed to regular meetings, both virtually and in person. The employee may be required to stand/sit for long periods of time as well as use hands or fingers to reach or handle, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is sometimes required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will regularly lift 25lbs or more at a time. All vision abilities are required to encompass close-up work. Employees must be able to tolerate and endure extended seasonal hours and maintain alertness to meet deadlines.
Occasionally while performing duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to machinery and moving parts, airborne particles including paper dust and hazardous materials or fumes, which may require the use of PPE. The employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, extended seasonal hours, high precarious places, and confined spaces. The nose level in some of the work environments may require the use of hearing protection.
