Job Summary: The VP, Marketing Strategy drives high-impact direct mail campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role is integral in developing and executing tailored strategies that address the unique needs and business objectives of each client, leveraging data-driven insights and a systematic process to maximize campaign effectiveness. With deep direct marketing knowledge and expertise in strategy, planning, testing, analysis, targeted data and application of marketing analytics, the strategist is key factor of client satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Identify client’s near-term and long-term business and marketing objectives as well as tactical objectives such as improving response rate and lowering cost of acquisition.
-Collaboratively review past and current client marketing efforts with an eye to understanding successes and challenges in order to identify opportunities for improvement.
-Devise a strategy aimed at achieving client goals that includes budget, marketing, price, planning and targeted tactical expected results.
-Develop a compelling targeting strategy using research, tools and partnered analytic resources including database analysis and data mining of the current customer file, with potential development of response, risk, or conversion models.
-Understand the target audience by using segmentation, modeled or persona data.
-Collaboratively develop with our client testable data sources, offers, creative formats and copy platforms as well as potential cross-sell or upsell mapping (if applicable).
-Define a campaign test window, implementation strategy, and put the plan into action. Deploy a test and read results. Adjust the plan and scale accordingly.
-Analyze campaign and program results and provide actionable recommendations for continued improvement.
-Be able to speak knowledgeably about and present all of the above to prospective clients in the context of business development.
-Follow all Nahan Safety and Quality policies and procedures.
-Support 6S initiatives as required.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
-Understanding the key components of a successful direct mail creative package.
-Understanding or learning key performance indicators for each industry we serve.
-Expertise in direct mail A/B and MVT test planning, set-up and results analysis.
-Motivated self-starter, confident in leading through expertise.
-Ability to initiate and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
-Excellent customer service, relationship-building, problem-solving, and influence skills; exceptional written and verbal communication.
-Strong team player with collaborative problem-solving skills.
-Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic and high integrity.
-Adaptable and flexible in ambiguous work environments, responsive to business priorities.
-Proficiency in the English language, verbally and written.
Education and Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or related field; master’s degree in marketing is a plus.
-15 years of direct marketing and client service experience with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a strategist role.
-Experience with all types of direct marketing data, managing analytics and model development, application and testing.
-Experience in translating a budget into an actionable and profitable mail plan.
-Prior experience in a direct marketing environment is strongly preferred.

This job operates in a hybrid office environment with exposure to a Manufacturing environment on occasion. While performing the duties of this job inside and outside the manufacturing facility/office setting, the employee is frequently exposed to normal to moderate working conditions for a hybrid office and manufacturing facility with a noise level that is usually quiet - moderate with minimal to some interruptions. The role routinely uses office equipment, software and hardware.
