CAD Manager:

Naik is seeking a CAD Manager who will support the multidisciplinary engineering department in design and project delivery. The position will lead operational standards and strategy for projects utilizing Bentley and Autodesk products. The CAD Manager is also responsible for user training, company and client standards adherence, and implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide AutoCad & Microstation support for deliverables on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Create, implement, and maintain client and company standards.
  • Provide quality control reviews of CAD work of others in compliance with client standards.
  • Manage completing various CAD tasks with varying deadlines.
  • Meet with IT staff, engineers, project managers, designers and drafters to develop strategies to streamline workflow processes.
  • Provide technical direction training, and support to CAD and engineering staff.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to CAD software.
  • Assist in implementing company and client quality control procedures. Coordinate with other CAD Managers in other companies or clients to resolve CAD related issues.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledgeable of CAD industry standards, best practices, and workflows.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical issues for various CAD software.
  • Experience with scanning and point cloud data preferred.
  • Experience utilizing ProjectWise Explorer, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Contribute to fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in engineering technology, drafting, computer science or related discipline is preferred. · Specific education involving structures or structural detailing experience would be desirable as an added asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience utilizing Bentley and/or Autodesk software for transportation projects.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in Transportation related CAD work with knowledge of various agencies standards or requirements.
  • Expertise with AutoCAD or Microstation is required. If only one software is known, the ability to learn the other software should be provided.
  • Expertise with InRoads/Open Roads Designer, Geopak and Civil 3D is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, or BIM 360 is preferred.
  • Experience configuring and implementing Bentley and/or Autodesk client workspaces.
  • Familiar with local and state agency CAD standards, including NJDOT, NJTA, PANYNJ, MTA, PENNDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDDC and/or other Tri-State agencies is expected.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and documentation skills are essential.
  • Demonstration of knowledge of CAD standards and differences between the agencies is critical for the successful applicant.
  • Proficient working knowledge of CAD, the ability to comprehend construction documents, problem solving skills and robust technical knowledge.
  • The ability to work independently to formulate a representation of the design and to communicate efforts to a design team is paramount to the successful candidate.
  • The ability to be a team leader and to facilitate projects independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
