Overview
Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Senior Wireless Network/Communications Engineer to lead the implementation and configuration of advanced wireless networking infrastructure in support of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-N) Wireless Lifecycle Refresh and Expansion. This role will be integral to delivering end-to-end wireless solutions across six USMC installations as part of a high-impact modernization effort under the PEO Digital ISTC Program Office. The Senior Engineer will serve as a technical leader responsible for site surveys, engineering design, and the EFIST (Engineer, Furnish, Install, Secure, and Test) of wireless access points, wireless controllers, and supporting components. This includes both the replacement of end-of-life hardware and the expansion of WLAN capabilities in accordance with Zero Trust and Comply-to-Connect principles. The candidate will work closely with other technical engineers, Lead Systems Engineers, and government stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery, adherence to project timelines, and compliance with stringent security requirements. Responsibilities

- Support verification site surveys at government installations on the East coast of the United States in order to identify and document the current network infrastructure installed to ensure the technical solution meets the customer requirement
- Support the Lead Systems Engineer in implementing the technical solutions for new and existing clients
- Provide feedback to the Lead Systems Engineer on improvements to the technical solutions being implemented
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventory and documentation for network infrastructure installations
- Configuration of network routing and switching equipment
- Understanding of wireless networking technologies, topologies, and protocols. (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, Ethernet) knowledge of GPON is a plus
- Hands-on experience in implementing, operating and troubleshooting IP-based Data networks (LAN/WAN/MAN) using Cisco IOS
- Highly self-motivated and ability to work independently in a global team environment
- Exceptional analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
- Strong desire to learn and contribute solutions and ideas to a broad team
- Independent and comfortable in a fast paced, ambiguous and often multi-directional work environments
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in a Technology related field.
- 10 years experience in telecommunications and networking experience.
- 10 years experience delivering solutions to government clients.
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP Enterprise Wireless Certification is desired.
- Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNAC) experience is desired.
