Overview

Nakupuna Solutions is seeking a System Administrator / Support Specialist to provide operations, enhancements and sustainment support for Appian at OGC. The Administrator will be responsible for installation and configuration of Appian on AWS resources in IL5 environment. Administer Appian platform configurations, assist with deployment of Microsoft .NET, web applications, and web services / API integrations with other OGC applications, and monitor performance and availability of Appian platform

Conduct the operations and maintenance of the platform installation including STiG patching

  • Assist with planning and implementation of software upgrades
  • Participate in the creation of data stores
  • Provide technical insight and documentation related to future development tasks, including analysis, resource allocation estimation and timeline projections.
  • Demonstrate experience with software development lifecycle phases (i.e., requirements analysis, design, implementation, and unit testing).
  • Work closely with other system administrator to deploy new releases, patches, and updates
  • Participate on projects focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development staff to production staff by performing operations activities within the project lifecycle
  • Ensure a high standard of quality throughout software development lifecycle.
  • Provide system administrative support for Appian enhancements
  • Support the Tier 1 / Tier 2 OGC IT team in resolving Production issues
  • Provide technical support for Office 365 Users, including, but not limited to, providing system access and permissions, resetting passwords, and system administration. (NMCI Network)
  • Support the resolution of Tier I, II, III service desk / help desk tickets.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of Support team processes and procedures.
  • Provide help desk reports on reported issues.
  • Configure end user devices such as workstations tablet and / or phones for end users

Qualifications

Education and Experience :

  • Education :
  • Required : BA / BS, preferably in computer science, science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM), or 5 years documented experience in addition to the requirements within this description.

  • Nice to have :
  • Worked with NCMI account and Navy enterprise systems

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes
  • Clearance Requirements : A Tier 5 background investigation and DoD Top Secret Security Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

    Location : Must be able to work a hybrid work schedule between working from home, Pentagon and Washington Navy Yard.

  • The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 to $118,750.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
