Join the Nalley Consulting team as a Technical Editor at the Pentagon.Position : Technical Editor - JCS J2LCAT : MidLocation : Pentagon (Arlington, VA)Shift : Yes (1100 - 1900)Clearance : TS / SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph examEducation : HS diploma or GED and 7 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experiencePlease note that Technical Editing experience is required. Per client requirements, we cannot substitute intel analysis experience in lieu of technical editing experience.DescriptionResponsible for reviewing and revising intelligence or communication products and other documents prepared by DoD analysts for publication into the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) / Secretary of Defense's Intelligence Update. As such, editor works with primary authors to edit / rewrite products for organization, grammar, style, accuracy, consistency of technical data, etc.Advises management and analysts with expert technical knowledge of the DIA Style Guide.At the discretion of the Division Chief, editor is assigned to support crisis management operations, edit desk notes for the senior leaders, and review products for dissemination to partner services.The ability to operate on short timelines, flexibility, and excellent oral and written communications skills are a must.Basic Qualifications : 3 years of experience in producing all-source intelligence analysis and managing the production of analysis productsExperience as a technical editor in an IC organizationAbility to proofread, edit, and correct text for style and accuracyAbility to apply IC analytic standards and analytic tradecraft standards as defined in the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 203 Analytic Standards and ICD 206 Sourcing Requirements to the production of all-source intelligence productsAbility to support shift workAdditional qualifications Possession of excellent organizational and analytical skillsPossession of excellent verbal and written communication skillsABOUT NALLEY CONSULTINGNalley Consulting is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business working with prime partners to staff Department of Defense and Intelligence Community positions.
