POSITION OVERVIEW
The Visual Information Specialist will support the design, production, and delivery of high-quality visual information products to enhance the organization's communication goals. This role requires expertise in graphic design, audiovisual production, branding, and printing. The ideal candidate will create visually compelling materials that align with command communication objectives and comply with industry and government standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Graphic Design and Visual Product Development
Design and produce technical and artistic illustrations, graphic artwork, brochures, posters, exhibits, displays, digital signage, logos, and banners.Develop physical visual products, including exhibits, displays, posters, and banners, to support communication goals.Apply creative expertise using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).Multi-Platform Visual Communication
Create and deliver content for multiple platforms, including digital signage, websites, social media, podcasts, and other communication products as directed.Ensure all materials meet Section 508 compliance requirements for accessibility.Audiovisual Production
Edit and produce professional audiovisual products in compliance with DoD, Marine Corps, and industry audiovisual standards.Ensure final products are suitable for commercial news outlets and government communication platforms.Branding and Design Standards
Provide expert guidance on graphic design and branding best practices to support updates to the command's branding guide.Maintain adherence to branding guidelines in all visual products to ensure consistency and quality.Printing and Production Support
Operate printing and production equipment, including plotters, binding machines, and cutters, to produce physical materials.Provide printing and production support for visual products to meet communication and event needs.File Management and Delivery
Upload all working and final project files to the Government's shared drive by the end of the next business day following project completion.Ensure organized and efficient file management to maintain accessibility and record-keeping standards.Industry Trends and Innovation
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in visual communication.Apply innovative design techniques to create engaging and effective visual information products.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field.Proven experience in graphic design, illustration, and audiovisual production.Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Adobe Creative Suite.Familiarity with DoD and Section 508 compliance standards for accessibility.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Experience operating and maintaining printing and production equipment.Nalu Federal is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
