Assistant Teacher (Preschool) Full Time -Namaste Montessori School

Do you enjoy working with young children? Perhaps you have experience babysitting, assisting in classrooms or community centers, nannying, or substitute teaching? Maybe you are a college student studying education, social work, or a related field? Maybe you are a recent high school graduate looking to explore a career path?

Namaste Montessori School is seeking a friendly, caring Assistant Teacher to work in one of our preschool classrooms starting immediately. Hours are 9:45 am-5:45pm Monday through Friday. We provide paid personal days, paid sick days, paid professional development days, and half pay on all school holidays. 401K with matching contribution. Tuition discount for children of employees.

Prior Montessori experience is not required; we will train the right candidate. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess:

• A joyful disposition and love of working with children
• Experience working with young children
• Willingness to learn: Growth Mindset
• Working knowledge of the Montessori method of education is preferred, but not required
• Ability to interact with parents and co-workers in a warm, empathetic, confident manner Reliable transportation (we are on the TCAT Route 21 bus route)
• Room for Growth: We support the career growth of all of our teachers and many of our assistant teachers move into other positions within our school or go on to pursue further training in the field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
