Hours: Full Time, Monday- Thursday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Location: Great Neck, NY
Compensation: $60,000 to $62,000

You'll be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time. What you will be doing:
- Receive and verify expense reports; reconcile expenses with account balances.
- Accurately record accounts payable data and maintain financial documentation.
- Process vendor payments, verify federal ID numbers, review purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies.
- Identify discount opportunities and ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledger to ensure all bills and payments are properly recorded.
- Manage petty cash transactions and verify documentation.
- Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices.
- Ensure compliance with accounts payable regulations, including W-9 and sales tax.
- Support general accounting tasks and assist with audits as needed.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.Certification: Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Accounts Payable Specialist.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new accounting software.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidential records.
