Compensation: $55,000 to $60,000

Summary:
Are you an experienced Collections Specialist with a passion for commercial real estate? We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to manage tenant accounts and ensure timely rent payments within our real estate portfolio. As a Collections Specialist, you will oversee tenant rent rolls, manage delinquent accounts, negotiate payment plans, and maintain strong tenant relationships. Your efforts will play a key role in preserving the financial health of our commercial real estate portfolio.
What you will be doing:
- Tenant Account Management: Monitor tenant rent payments and maintain accurate account records.
- Collections: Track delinquent accounts and initiate collection procedures as needed.
- Communication: Serve as the primary contact for tenants regarding rent collection and account inquiries.
- Negotiation: Work with tenants to develop and enforce payment plans while maintaining positive relationships.
- Legal Coordination: Assist legal teams with eviction processes and other legal actions when necessary.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on collections and accounts receivable.
- Collaboration: Work closely with property managers, accounting teams, and legal counsel to ensure compliance.
- Policy Enforcement: Ensure adherence to lease agreements and take appropriate action in case of non-compliance.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in collections, property management, or real estate finance.
- Strong understanding of commercial lease agreements and legal processes related to collections.
- Proficiency in property management software (MRI preferred).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with commercial tenants in office, retail, or industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations concerning debt collection and real estate law.
- Strong analytical skills to assess tenant financial viability.
