What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teppanyaki Chef position at Nami Japanese Cuisine?
Overview
To entertain and interact with guests to provide a memorable teppanyaki experience.
MUST have at least 2 years experience with Teppanyaki grill
Responsibilities
Performing a show for guests by interacting and communicating with guests
Knowledge in preparing a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking using a variety of kitchen equipment (including but not limited to broilers, ovens, grills, food processors, blenders and fryers)
Maintaining and cleaning Back of House area (Kitchen, Equipment, Prep Tables, Food Storage, etc.)
Knowledge in knife skills such as cut, dice, julienne, etc.
Qualifications
Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable
Physical Demands:
Must be able to perform a variety of physical activities including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, climbing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 55 lbs. Must possess the manual dexterity to use cooking tools properly and while performing cooking shows. Must be able to handle smoke and heat from grill.
Shift Flexibility: Must be able to work different shifts, include holidays, nights and weekends.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
