Who We Are Looking For:
Reporting to the Director of Communications and Engagement, the Healthcare Engagement Manager leads a team of specialists and oversees initiatives to enhance NAMI Chicago’s brand visibility, educate healthcare providers on mental health and wellness, and promote the NAMI Helpline. The ideal candidate excels in team management and outreach, has a deep understanding of the healthcare system, and possesses strong communication and collaboration skills. They are organized, adaptable, and motivated by a commitment to improving mental health care through effective engagement and training.
Essential Responsibilities:
Supervise and support a team of engagement specialists, providing day-to-day guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Lead outreach efforts to promote the NAMI Chicago Helpline to healthcare providers, ensuring they are informed about its services and benefits.
Assist in the design and implementation of training programs focused on serious mental illness,, crisis intervention, de-escalation, and self-care, integrating Helpline resources.
Ensure that outreach materials and training content are accurate, evidence-based, and updated regularly to reflect current best practices.
Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, mental health professionals, and community partners to enhance Helpline utilization.
Track and report on outreach and training outcomes, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
Support the integration of the Helpline into healthcare practice, contributing ideas for policy and process improvements.
Assist in managing the department's resources, including tracking expenses and ensuring efficient use of materials.
Represent NAMI Chicago at relevant meetings, training sessions, and professional events, advocating for the use of the Helpline.

Requirements:
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, public health, healthcare administration, education, or a related field.
Master's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in healthcare outreach, community engagement, mental health services, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, with a focus on leading teams and overseeing outreach or engagement initiatives.
Computer Skills: Proficiency Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word. Proficiency in Internet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange; Windows operating systems; and other software routinely used by NAMI Chicago
