Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our Summer Internship Program. This is a temporary full-time position that offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management while contributing to meaningful projects
Interns will have the chance to work on real-world procurement tasks, develop industry-relevant skills, and gain exposure to the strategic and operational aspects of supply chain management. This role is ideal for students who are eager to learn and apply their academic knowledge in a professional environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Data Management and Documentation- maintaining and updating vendor databases; input purchase orders, supplier details, and invoices into system; ensure documentation complies with internal policies and external regulations
• Supplier Communication - assist with supplier onboarding and manage vendor documentation collection; communicate with supplies; support supplier inquiries and escalate issues as needed
• Market Research and Analysis – research potential suppliers and evaluates offerings against needs; create cost analysis reports and supplier comparisons
• Order and Inventory Support – track and monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels; assist in resolving order discrepancies
• Bid and Proposal Assistance – prepare requests for quotations (RFQs) and requests for proposals (RFPs); compare supplier bids and summarize findings; participate in vendor evaluation
• Compliance and Process Improvement – verify supplier compliance with environmental, health and safety standards; collaborate on process improvement initiatives; contribute to sustainability and waste reduction efforts
• Administrative and Team Support – schedule meetings; prepare agendas; assist with presentations; support special initiatives as assigned; provide ad hoc support to procurement team
Job Qualifications: (Education/Skills/Experience):
• Currently pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with procurement software is a plus
• Analytical mindset with the ability to research and evaluate data
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
