Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate all engineering activities throughout the plant, including the aiding of troubleshooting and equipment repair, new equipment installation and equipment design improvements
To ensure efficient machine operation while enforcing company policies and procedures
Review technical papers, catalogs and other reference materials and confer with equipment representatives to select and recommend new supplies and engineering methods to improve plant equipment or process
Develop or revise standard working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with the standards
Initiate personnel actions such as promotions, evaluations, terminations and disciplinary actions
Prepare work schedules
Designate job assignments
Distinguish between emergency and scheduled work
Coordinate activities with the Maintenance Department
Ensure compliance of all safety policies and procedures
Initiate work orders
Train personnel on new policies, procedures and annual training
Inspect and approve completed work
Approve parts requisitions from the parts warehouse
Train personnel on the equipment and process
Complete monthly and daily reports
Ensure work assignments are performed in a timely manner
Make recommendations for improvements
Maintain records, blueprints, drawings and reference materials
Initiate purchase requisitions
Revise electrical drawings as necessary
Work outside the regular working hours to complete assigned work when necessary
Must be able to be contacted during non-scheduled work hours
Direct activities to ensure that the manufacturing, construction, installation and operational testing conform to functional specifications and operational requirements
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Previous Work Experience in Electrical Engineering field, but not required
