Job Description
Plans activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for light modular processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
- Interprets Electrical, Fire Detection, and Telecom engineered drawings, modular shop drawings, and mechanical drawings. Confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Progressively inspect modular camp units during the installation phase including framing, architectural, and mechanical systems to ensure conformance with engineered drawings and project quality standards.
- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Recording of testing data, interpretation of results per project quality standards, and electronic input for project turnover.
- Interfaces with procurement, supervision, and management to coordinate and resolve quality-related issues/concerns.
- Provide guidance to workers on Company and Project quality requirements.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the latest codes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent or ten (10) years directly related experience will be considered.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a licensed Journeyman Electrician.
- Current Alaska Electrical Journeyman Fitness License.
- Driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
