Job Description
The Billeting Clerk position requires a high degree of customer service skills, the successful applicant must be able to represent NMS and clients positively to employees, customers, and the community at large. They will provide support to departments to include providing exemplary customer service over the phone, in person, and via email to our client and customers by scheduling requests, assisting with data entry and special projects.
This position is located in Anchorage. It is "not" a remote rotational position.
Responsibilities
- Logs, compiles, organizes, processes, and summarizes many different types of data with a high degree of accuracy and urgency.
- Data entry, invoice processing and reconciliation of accounting reports and safe audits.
- Assist with payroll, accounts payable and other business-related tasks as assigned.
- Respond in a timely manner to scheduling needs and questions.
- Occasionally drop off and deliver products and supplies to support remote locations.
- Monitor voicemail message and answer questions as needed.
- Performs day-to-day administrative services / tasks needed for billeting in a remote setting.
- Assigns personnel billeting accommodation for various camps.
- Efficiently and accurately manages travel arrangements for the Alyeska camp.
- Standard office duties such as producing general office written and / or electronic correspondence, handle incoming phone calls, operating office equipment, etc.
- Prepares routine billeting documentation and compile various reports to maintain a billeting office's workflow.
- Demonstrates exceptional adeptness with complex scheduling and rotational shifts.
- Ability to accurately utilize complex software applications.
- Understand, evaluate and communicate software issues with vendors, managers and others as needed.
- Troubleshoot system problems that may arise with the various sites used. Coordinate with internal and external entities to resolve any issues.
- Operates or performs such standard office duties, such as producing general office written or electronic correspondence, handling a variety of telephone and office equipment, observing proper procedures to handle records or other materials, etc.
- Must be capable of working independently and handling many varied tasks simultaneously.
- Operates in a climate of confidentially requiring discretion.
- May assist others with overflow work or special projects.
- May assist in the preparation of documents affecting the functioning of the assigned area.
- May utilize specialized computer systems and applications with unique applications being used at the discretion of the department.
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned.
