Responsibilities
- Defines, designs, develops, and implements computer applications and solutions.
- Evaluates applications used by the organization and upgrade or enhance existing programs.
- Conducts surveys to consider user needs and capture marketing research data.
- Oversees the implementation of computer solutions by managing programmers, coders, and equipment vendors to ensure the design is properly executed in a timely manner and stays within budget.
- Defines and enhances computer applications used, works closely with management to know the plans and goals to make immediate developments on the system.
- Ensures that the system is secure, and the network is well filtered.
- Tests and integrates programs.
- Performs work under minimal supervision.
- Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- May act as lead.
