We are seeking an experienced Coating Specialist to join our team at NANA Regional Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for applying coatings to fabricated structures and steel using various techniques, including abrasive media blasting and automated wheel blasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply coatings to fabricated structures and steel using abrasive media blasting and automated wheel blasting
- Clean metal surfaces using solvent-based cleaning methods
- Profile steel using abrasive media blasting
- Mask and wrap substrates to prevent coating damage
- Feather and sand defects in coatings and substrates
- Mix and thin paint according to PDS guidelines
- Set up pressure pots and spray guns for coating application
- Maintain and set up airless pumps and guns
- Operate a forklift occasionally to move material
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of directly related experience required
- Alaska Painters Certification
- Driver's License and acceptable driving record preferred
Working Conditions
This position requires working in a fast-paced industrial environment with occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions. Steel-toed boots are required.
