Job Description
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Project Manager/Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting various projects and day-to-day financial project oversight functionality of Qavvik Air. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of project management, accounting and financial reporting principles.This role will involve project management tasks as well as financial and operational oversight, including accounting and cost-control functions, to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to budgets.
Responsibilities
- Project Management (Construction) :
- Provide day-to-day oversight and project management for the hangar construction, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to maintain project schedules and resolve any construction-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations, safety standards, and company policies during the construction process.
- Collaborate closely with Qavvik leadership and other team members to assess the progress and performance of the construction project.
- Financial Oversight :
- Review and manage all financial transactions related to the hangar construction project, including Qavvik Air credit card statements, bills, and invoices.
- Code and allocate financial transactions to the correct accounts and project codes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Work closely with the accounting team to monitor expenditures and ensure that costs align with project budgets.
- Cost Control & Efficiency :
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies across both construction and finance processes.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on the financial health of the project, highlighting potential risks, cost overruns, or savings opportunities.
- Collaborate with peers and senior leadership to implement strategies for improving cost effectiveness and resource management.
- Operational Support :
- Maintain clear documentation for financial records related to the construction project.
- Support the team in developing and updating budgets and forecasts for the construction project.
- Assist in reviewing contracts and financial agreements with external vendors, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
- 3 - 5 years of related experience in finance, project management, construction management or related experience.
- Strong understanding of financial management, including reviewing financial transactions, coding and reporting.
- Proficiency with construction project management software and financial management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including construction personnel, accountants, and senior management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NANA’s vehicle insurance policy
