Summary
This position working under the supervision of the maintenance manager or lead technician, the employee performs work involving the use of common tools and other maintenance equipment needed to undertake common tasks involved in routine maintenance projects.
Responsibilities
Weather:Indoor/Outdoor - frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions; requires work to be done both inside and outside.
Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere.
Description of environment: Indoor/Outdoor: Occasional exposure to harsh weather conditions; requires work to be done both inside and outside.
Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.

Responsibilities
- Assist's lead technician in a wide variety of building maintenance related duties as assigned.
- Makes repairs and alterations to drywall, wainscoting and FRP.
- Paints large and small spaces.
- Repairs and replaces carpet, carpet tile and vinyl flooring.
- Repairs and replaces doors and windows.
- Repairs and replaces locks and exit hardware.
- Moves boxes, furniture, and stock.
- Loads and unloads supplies and stock.
- Cleans work areas daily.
- Follows all company safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned that are pertinent to the unit's success.
- Position may involve occasional weekend work on an as needed basis and can change short notice to meet client requests.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Safety is a priority for employment with NMS. Employee must be able to complete work while following safe operating procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Some prior work experience that involved general labor in and/or around facility maintenance skilled trades, i.e., Carpentry, Locksmith, Electrical, Plumbing etc.
- A valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy.
