Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, ensuring that all deliveries are completed in a timely manner.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of products to prevent damage.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining signatures as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading processes and timely dispatch of deliveries.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a courier role is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems is beneficial.
- Experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands associated with loading and unloading goods.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive delivery experience.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
