Location: Washington D.C. - Dunn Loring / Tysons Corner area (NOVA)
Schedule:
FLEXIBLE, part-time schedule (4–7 hours/day)
*Can guarantee a minimum of 20 hours per week, max of 35
*Family is willing to work with a nanny to build their ideal schedule between the hours of 8am-5pm. Family says the ideal schedule is 12pm-5pm. They are willing to adjust to the nanny's need.
*Occasional full days when mom is traveling for work (2–3x/month)
Length: 1-2 year commitment
Start Date:Flexible start between June 16th – August 18th*Must be available by August 18th
Pay: $30–$35/hour, depending on experience

This family describes themselves as “Fun Type A”; they are extremely organized in all aspects of their life, while enjoying adventure in their downtime (hiking, mountain climbing, etc.). They describe their values as “faith based,” and would love a nanny who is comfortable reading bible stories to their son. This family is seeking a polished, cordial nanny who will “represent our family well” when on playdates and engaging in other social events with their son. Mom and Dad value communication immensely, and are seeking a kind caregiver who will be happy to come together to implement their values. This is a screen-free household.
About the Child:
Child A (1 year old upon hire):
This newly-toddler is a “super positive, happy little chatterbox” who loves singing, being talked to, and reading books. He is curious and loves to explore, enjoys time outdoors, and switching engaging and stimulating environments.
Ideal Personality (of Nanny):
You are an organized, timely and responsible childcare professional who understands the importance of early childhood learning and connection. You consider yourself a Type A personality, and you are hands on and proactive. People might describe you as being warm, calm and emotionally intelligent.
Requirements:
· Vaccines NOT required
· Must be local to the DC-Metro area
· You should be comfortable with no screen time policy in the house
· Should be OK with 2 cats in the home
· Ability to lift 25 pounds (child) up/down steps, and walk for up to two miles (to access local child activities in the city)
Responsibilities:
· Foster confidence via nurturing care
· Loving and attentive care of toddler, including the meeting of all basic needs (diapering, pottying, feeding, naps, etc.)
· Follow schedules closely for feeding, sleeping, wake windows
· Plan and participate in age appropriate activities with a focus on developmental milestones
· Engage child in learning and exploration via books, stories, art, songs and play
· Spend time outdoors when weather permits (going on stroller walks around the neighborhood, etc.)
· Maintain cleanliness of spaces you use in the home (leave the house how you found it)
· Bring child to events locally (library, playgrounds, etc.) and playdates
· Keep child’s environment stimulating and safe
· Represent the family well in social and public settings (e.g., playdates, classes)
· Maintain open communication with the parents
